From the Sentinel: "Veterinarians from all over the country have enrolled for a UC-Extension course called Internal Medicine for Veterinarians, according to the class teacher, Robert Pensinger of Santa Cruz. Pensinger, consultant in cardiology and internal medicine at Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital and who holds posts at several veterinary schools in California, said that the course, which begins Saturday and lasts for a week, is a first in veterinary medicine. The course is directed at graduate veterinarians. Among the courses, which will be taught by seven faculty-members, will be respiratory medicine, economics of internal practice, internal medicine and the clinical laboratory, and a six-day review course on background and advances in veterinary internal medicine. Joining Pensinger on the staff will be L.E. Stickles of Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital, Robert Hart of UC-Davis, Carl Osborne of the University of Minnesota, Donald Low of UC-Davis, Donald R. Strombeck of UC-Davis and Niels C. Pederson of UC-Davis."
